How To Make a Night Vision Potion

Step 1

Make blaze powder by using a blaze rod.

To get a blaze powder in Minecraft, you must create a nether portal, visit the nether dimension through the portal, and find a nether fortress.

If you can find one that has blazes on them, kill them. Doing so will earn you some blaze rods. When you place the blaze rods on the crafting table, you will have your blaze powder.

Step 2

Create a crafting table by using four wood planks.

Use the different planks in Minecraft (warped planks, crimson planks, etc) to make a crafting table.

Place your crafting table on the ground and make it create a 3 x 3 grid.

Create a brewing stand by using a blaze rod in the middle of the top row and 3 cobblestones in the second row. 

This blaze rod can be gotten from blazes. Blazes are the fiery hostile mob found in the nether. You must be equipped with healing items before facing the fiery mob because water won’t be of help at that point.

Put the blaze powder in the upper left box to activate the brewing stand.

In the top box of the brewing menu, add the golden carrot. You can find it in any of the farmlands which are in various villages in Minecraft.

You can get it from killing zombified pigeons in the nether or from the chest of igloos, ruined portals, shipwrecks, underwater ruins, bastion remnants, and even some villages. To increase the duration of the night vision potion, add the Redstone to the potion. Instead of being effective for 3 minutes, it will be extended to 8 minutes due to the extra addition.

Finally, to use the potion on other gamers, you must put the potion in the bottom box and add the gunpowder to the top box.
